Office for Access and Equity
The Office for Access and Equity strives to increase access to employment, programs, and services in an environment free of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
Office of Diversity, Equity & Engagement
The office is a vehicle for advancing access, equity, and inclusion under the Office of the Chancellor. This office manages the various Chancellor’s Status Committees, Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change, Community Collaboration, Community Relations, Partnerships for Anti-racist Campus Transformation, Bridge to the Faculty, and the UIC Dialogue Initiative.
Campus Advocacy Network
Provides a team approach to advocacy in order to assist UIC students, staff and faculty who are victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking and hate crimes. This is a free service. CAN is part of the UIC Women’s Leadership & Resource Center.
The Wellness Center
Provides accurate and relevant health and wellness information, educational programs, and knowledge to the UIC community.

Howard Brown
Howard Brown Health Center exists to eliminate the disparities in health care experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people through research, education and the provision of services that promote health and wellness.
Center On Halsted
Center on Halsted is the Midwest’s most comprehensive community center dedicated to building and strengthening the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community. More than 1,000 community members visit the Center every day, located in the heart of Chicago’s Lakeview Neighborhood.
Lambda Legal
Founded in 1973, Lambda Legal is the oldest and largest national legal organization whose mission is to safeguard and advance the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and policy work.
Chicago Dyke March Collective
This collective annually organizes the Chicago Dyke March the last Saturday of June. The Chicago Dyke March Collective is a grassroots mobilization and celebration of dyke, queer, bisexual, and transgender resilience. It is an anti-racist, anti-violent, volunteer-led, grassroots effort with a goal to bridge together communities across race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, size, gender identity, gender expression, sexuality, culture, immigrant status, spirituality, and ability. We challenge fatphobia and are body positive.
Commission On Human Relations
The Chicago Commission on Human Relations (CCHR) is charged with enforcing the Chicago Human Rights Ordinance and the Chicago Fair Housing Ordinance. The Commission investigates complaints to determine whether discrimination may have occurred, and uses its enforcement powers to punish acts of discrimination. Under the City’s Hate Crimes Law, the agency aids hate crime victims. CCHR also employs proactive programs of education, intervention, and constituency building to discourage bigotry and bring people from different groups together. They also host the Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame, which recognizes contributions from our community and allies.
Affinity
Affinity Community Services is a social justice organization that works with and on behalf of Black LGBTQ communities, queer youth, and allies to identify emergent needs, create safe spaces, develop leaders, and bridge communities through collective analysis and action for social justice, freedom, and human rights.
Invisible-to-Invisible: Asian Pacific Islander Pride of Chicago (i2i)
Founded in 2005, Invisible to Invincible (“i2i”) is a community-based organization that celebrates and affirms Asians & Pacific Islanders who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, and Queer in the Chicago area. Chicago i2i organizes monthly social events, educational programs, and community activism. i2i welcomes East Asians, South Asians, Southeast Asians, & Pacific Islanders of all sexual orientations and gender identities & expressions.

A depository for the records of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) individuals and organizations, and for other resources bearing upon their lives and experiences in American society.
Gay and Lesbian Medical Association
GLMA’s mission is to ensure equality in health care for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and health care providers.
Equality Illinois
The mission of Equality Illinois is to secure, protect and defend equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Illinois.
American Veterans for Equal Rights
AVER is a non-profit, chapter-based association of active, reserve and veteran servicemembers, and allies, dedicated to full and equal rights and equitable treatment for all present and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Chicago Gender Society
The Chicago Gender Society is a social and educational organization for all members of the Transgender community. They have regular business meetings on the second Tuesday of each month.

The GLBT website provides information regarding the current laws on marriage and domestic partnerships for the community, as well as health reports and resource directories.
